Both easily run on carpet, dirt or grass and neither has tossed tracks, yet. I was pleasantly surprised that both my HL Abrams from IMEX Taigen worked out of the box. I like the Abrams, they are fun runners and I salute Hen Long for investing in a developing a product line of good looking modern rc tanks. Unlike the Leo 2 Release from Heng Long, the Abrams sadly does not have an adjustable idler adjustment Why CA? Not Bolted on? so that if someone knocks my turret hard, it will pop off the servo, spare the internals of the servo, and hopefully spare the gun mechanismsĪ Futaba S3003 Servo would result in a 6 second 360 degree traverse. I opted to hack a servo and that is instead stuck using CA on the lower hull. Swing Arms the plastic version has a very flimsy and flex prone swing arms, which will cause de-tracking when doing neutral turns on a grippy surface like carpetsīut not much of a problem in other surfaces. 50 cals rounds can be painted to realize effect The Madeuce has a missing trigger hand hold and h-trigger, simply go fabricate parts for thatīut it includes a nicely detailed ammo box with molded in. The stowage racks seem to have a bit wide railings, but not that it degrades the modelĪntennas on the turret similar to those older releases but are for detail only as the 2.4 GHZ Multifunction unit only needed less than an inch of wire antennaīut then the Gunner Periscope is molded closed. So, a simple piece of old school film or any suitable materials could be used to rectify this. The periscopes do not have any lenses as did some other releases of Henglong, Except those some other HL releases that did have periscopes simply molded with no chance for a modeler to improve it. There seems to be only One details issue here in the turret blowout panel having the "knobs"
